Establish a time for going on a walk and head outside during your workdays. Certainly, things can get quite hectic but if you’re not firing on all pistons then it might actually take you longer to get things done and you are likely going to get pretty drained in the process. Take a 10- to 15-minute rest one to two hours a day. Get away from what you are doing, eliminate technology and recharge. Get outside for an invigorating walk, find a location to stretch out close your office, like a vacant meeting room and turn on some relaxing music, do a crossword puzzle, or write in a diary. Reconnect to something larger than yourself to ultimately stay grounded and give yourself time to recharge. In periods of productivity, it is recommended to take some time out from work and break into bite-sized increments. Pausing tasks into 15 smaller increments so that folks are more productive will help a lot. You would be surprised how much can get done in 12-15 minutes or less. Keeping your work area organized and tidy can do a wealth of good for your mental health as well. Removing clutter your work area or home and let go of anything that no longer serves you.
