A recent study from the Fraser Institute says 42.1 per cent of the average Canadian's income is spent on taxes and 36.6 per cent on basic necessities, including food, clothing and shelter. Some say far too much is going for taxes and that we are not even getting better services or programs for our tax dollars. Others argue that we enjoy a good quality of life because the taxes are put toward health care, education and other important programs. What do you think?
